Becoming Aware with Self Talk and Positive Thinking


Self-awareness will help you know where to go in the future. With positive thinking and self-talk, we can and will go along ways.


If we do not nowhere to go in the future what fun is life going to be so we need goals to work for. First, you need to find out who you are before trying to set those goals.


Be positive and think about yourself. Self-awareness brings you to know you’re self-well… You will find balance and honest views of your own personality, and will frequently have the ability to interact with others frankly and confidently. Self-awareness then works with self-talk, by building positive thinking. You just can’t lose with self-talk.


How to find self-awareness through self-talk:

You start with finding a quiet area. Next, visualize yourself sitting across the room with someone else in the room. You are safe so don’t worry. The person sitting across the room is you. You want to get to know this guy, because this is your best friend and the only true human being that you can trust for life.


Now, picture your friend. Ask your friend how he feels about self. Ask him what is going on in his life and tell him you are there to lend a hand. Give encouragement to your friend so he will return to you and offer you a lending hand when in need.


Each day that you come to know you, you will find your life much easier. Instead of waging judgment on you, enjoy your self-talk with you by making it a fun adventure.


Self-talk Fun Adventures:

ME: Hi, how are you today.

I reply, Oh, I am fine. A little worn down from working long-hours.

ME: Well, why do you abuse yourself working too much?

I reply, Well, I figure I owe my loyalty, dedication, promptness to my fellowmen.

ME: And what do they owe you for such hard work?

ME Reply: They thank me in some ways.

ME: And how is that.

ME Reply, Maybe I don’t feel appreciate.

ME: Exactly…

ME Reply, Didn’t we jump track.

ME: NO, we are still on the same train, only the track is longer.

ME Reply: Well, we need to shorten the tracks, because I feel I am missing the point.

ME: You are not missing the point. You are on track; it is me thinking about playing mini golf with the boys.

ME Reply, Boy where did that come from.

ME: It came from me feeling anxious to finish work tonight so I can relax and watch television for a change instead of beating this darn keyboard until my fingers swell and my mind inflates.


ME reply, so what is going on.

ME: I feel stressed and overwhelmed. I need a breathe of fresh air so that I can recover from writing long hours.

Me reply can we swing it.

Me; sure, we can swing it. As long as you don’t mind that I go into my little play world where all my friends that make me happy hang.

Me reply, Not at all. I am one of those friends, so let’s get together tonight and have a little fun after you finish your work.

Me, wow…me finish, you are suppose to be helping.

Me reply, I am on a mental retirement plan, will help when I retire from this plan.


See how that works. It may sound nutty, but who cares. You are discussing issues and if you look between the messages, you will see an emptiness waiting to be filled. This person feels unappreciated to a degree, and feels overbearing. Maybe if she takes a break she will feel alive again and put those negative thoughts away.

Law of Attraction: Not Just Positive Thinking

I hate to break it to you but the Law of Attraction is NOT about positive thinking.  This is a myth that pervades Law of Attraction thinking and confuses a lot of people.  I want to clear it up right now.

The Universe is not some benevolent being who bestows blessings on people who think positively and punishment on people who are negative.  In fact, it doesn’t really care if you’re happy, sad or in between.  What the Universe does is pick up your vibrations, and then it returns like vibrations back to you.  It’s kind of like a mirror reflecting back whatever you give it.  This is why positive thoughts are said to reap positive experiences and negative thoughts are said to reap negative experiences.  You are simply getting back what you put out.

Another thing about the Universe is that it doesn’t understand “I don’t want.”  Anything you send out – anything at all – is sent right back to you whether you are saying you do want it or you don’t want it.  This can be a little tricky to understand so here’s an example:

Let’s say you want a new TV.  Your old one is large and clunky; the picture is starting to act up, and its time to replace it.  So you tell the Universe you want a new TV.  You think about what kind of TV you want and you decide on a size, features and price range.  You might go to a few stores and pick out some models that appeal to you.  You have fun picking out that new TV and eventually you bring it home and put it in your living room.  What has happened here is that you put out a request and the Universe matched your vibration, calling attention to TVs that fit your requirements and nudging you forward to getting it into your house.

On the other hand, say you are sitting on your couch complaining about your old TV.  The picture wavers and you snarl at it and call it a piece of junk.  You tell everyone it’s about to break and you need to replace it.  You see a TV at the store and complain that it’s too expensive or you can’t afford it.  Do you think you’ll actually get a new TV?  No. All of your energy is spent bashing the old one and the Universe, reflecting that back keeps you stuck exactly where you are.

The desire was the same – you wanted a new TV.  The results however were drastically different because in each case you put out a different vibe to the Universe which in turn was reflected right back to you.

This is why in Law of Attraction it’s important to ignore what you don’t want and focus on what you do want.  Put out the vibrations of what you do want and watch the Universe respond in kind by bringing it right to you.

Positive Thinking – Meaning

“This glass is half-full” – This is positive thinking according to many people including personality development gurus, and other motivational speakers. Whenever a person looks at “half-empty”, these gurus jump to conclusion immediately and say that’s the reason all the negative manifestations you have in your life. When did it become a negative thinking when a truth is expressed? Isn’t the glass full-empty to start with? If I say that “today is a cold day” in winter on a very cold day, do I become a negative person or a negative thinker?

 

Or for example, take this situation. There are four people and each of them is very hungry. They can each eat one full burger. They have only two burgers. How do they feel, or how should they feel after eating equally? They should feel that and be happy about that they at least are half-stomach-full? They will feel that they are still hungry. Don’t they? Now, all of them became negative thinkers, right? You got it plain wrong.

 

Let me explain.

 

Who came up with Half Full is positive thinking, and why? Did you understand it or just repeating?

 

There is nothing wrong if you look at it as half-empty. The reason for that is; looking at half-empty glass is not manifesting negative things for you in your life. But, if you look at problem or something wrong in each situation even though there is a positive to take, then, you need to revive your thinking. Acknowledge the negative in a situation, but, take any lesson that the situation is trying to teach you. This makes you a positive thinker. Just acknowledging the problem, or identifying a negative point in a situation, doesn’t make you a negative person.

 

But, never be afraid of telling the truth, even if it is something negative. For example, if a person is drowning in a swimming pool, say it, just don’t say, he is half-outside, so swimming. Hope you catch the point.

Why Positive Thinking With The Law Of Attraction Is Not Enough

The law of attraction is a two headed beast bringing you what you want and what you don’t want. Positive thinking alone isn’t enough to stimulate this law in your life. What stimulates this law in your life most of the time is what is running underneath the consciousness of your being like a stealth submarine: your programmed core beliefs. Beliefs of which you may not even be aware.

Your positive emotion coupled with your positive thought creates a feeling in your body. This feeling is what is propelled out into the universe to bring you back its match in your life. BUT, and this is a big but, if your sub-conscious beliefs run counter to your positive thought and positive emotion, it is canceled out. It’s like a plus one and a minus one — it will always equal zero. You need to tip the scales in your favor.

To tip the scales in your favor, start imagining things you enjoy, I don’t really care what they are (as long as they do no harm to another or yourself). Focus on these things to elevate your mood, or change your feelings.

Once your feelings are elevated, look at what may be hanging in your closet from childhood. Simply do this by writing down the main word of your desire upon a piece of paper and then draw lines from it and immediately write what comes to mind. This might be an interesting tool to discover what you really “secretly” think about something. This is one way to uncover your unconscious beliefs.

If you’ve uncovered an unconscious belief, like “you’re not worthy,” then the action you need to take is to do things that help you to feel worthy. One such way is to go to a homeless shelter and volunteer to help others. This isn’t about changing them, but about helping them where they are.

When you do something to help another, this increases your own sense of self-worth and pretty soon, you start feeling good about yourself all the time. When that happens, it will be as if your past life never existed. You may not even notice the change at first until one day you simply realize how wonderful life truly can be.
